Wrinkles: How to Get Rid of Them

Saturday 21 March 2009 @ 7:02 am

If you believe that women are the only ones that deal with wrinkle creases, think again because men also have this problem as they age. Luckily, those furrows can be prevented or do away with a lot of different ways and even with just our own efforts and time.

For those who smoke, you should stop straight away. Studies have shown that this sets off premature aging or what is better known as photo aging which is why someone in their 30’s will look like an individual that is already in their fifty’s.

Too much exposure to the sun causes furrows. Stay indoors between the hours of 10 and 4 if you want to prevent the damage from the sun’s harmful rays. See to it that you safeguard yourself from ultraviolet A and B rays by putting on a sun screen if you really can’t help but go out-of-doors.

Aside from the health related problems that you can get from consuming alcohol, it can also cause severe dehydration so you better quit drinking before it’s too late. The skin grows thinner if the body doesn’t have sufficient water thus the tendency for the skin to droop. The only answer of course will be to drink plenty of fluid. Ideally this should be 8 glasses of water a day as this plays a key role in preserving a healthy skin skin color.

Apart from water, you should also maintain a correct diet plan. As much as possible, include in your daily meals a portion of fruit and 5 servings of vegetables. A few of these are asparagus, brussel sprouts, broccoli, cantaloupe, guava, papaya and pineapple and they are actually rich in antioxidants.

some other things that can be utilized include olive oil, nuts and whole grains. Fish contains Omega 3 and 6 fatty acids thus you may add them to your daily meals as we also need some protein and meats which are best broiled or baked.

Take some mineral supplements to have a complete and improved diet. Safe-guarding us from free radicals is just what these things can do as they contain adequate amounts of vitamins A, B, C and E.

For some, the presence of creases is already there. The only thing that they can do when that actually occurs is to find means to get rid of it. For that, you will have to rely on emollients and other processes that can be done by a dermatologist. Some of these may take on laser surgery, chemical peels and injections.

Some of these procedures have short term results while others which are more costly are for the long term. Go to a medical specialist and get yourself examined so that you will know if you can afford such interventions and what among them better suits your condition.

See to it that as you make some efforts to get rid of those lines, the only kind of soap that you will use is the mild ones. Powerful soaps make the skin less healthy and more prone to furrows by killing the top layers of skin and leaking the oil out of the layers of skin beneath that. If you don’t heed this warning, you will regret it in the number and deepness of these wrinkles.

It’ll be more of a task to get rid of those furrows if they are already on the surface of your skin and body. Regardless of what beauty product you purchase, these will not go away quickly in the same fashion that they came out on your face. If going for a procedure is something that you can pay for, then don’t settle for anything less.

All of us have a distinct way of addressing this trouble and with the budget setting our limits. Just don’t push yourself too far if you can’t actually afford such things as there are many other options that you can go for to address this problem using your resources creatively.

Apply your Mineral Makeup with a Quality Kabuki Brush

Friday 20 March 2009 @ 9:42 pm

More and more women are choosing natural mineral makeup to enhance their beauty and their skin health. What have made mineral makeup so special are the ingredients in the product. What makes it work for you is how you apply it to your skin.

The makeup brush is a girl’s best friend. When it comes to mineral makeup, there are synthetic and natural hair makeup brushes for application. The brush that most mineral makeup users have is a Kabuki makeup brush.

Have you heard that name before? Maybe you’ve seen someone wearing kabuki makeup. The name comes from the Japanese theater. In ancient Japan, actors would perform with their makeup as a white background with various bold colors used to create different expressions for their characters.

Kabuki brushes are now used to apply mineral makeup. These brushes have a unique look that makes them just the right applicator for your face. Most makeup brush bristles are stiff and can be hard to the touch. The makeup stays on the ends of the bristles where it can clump and provide uneven coverage to your face.

Instead of packing on the powder, Kabuki brushes don’t need much in the way of makeup at all. A very little will go a long way. These brushes have rounded bristles that form a dome shape instead of a blunt end like most makeup brushes. Kabuki brushes provide a much more even coverage of your makeup. The bristles can be made of hairs from:

- Squirrel

- Sable

- Italian Badger

Kabuki brushes have soft natural hairs that won’t damage skin in the application. These bristles spread apart so that the mineral makeup can cling to the entire length of the hair. These bristles again part when they touch your face so that all of the makeup gets used.

Synthetic Kabuki brushes are available as well as the natural hair brushes. Some synthetic bristles have been known to cause skin irritations in some makeup users. Natural hair makeup brushes are less prone to these types of problems.

Kabuki brushes exist for applying not only foundation but also mineral blushes and eye shadows. They typically have short, blunt handles for easier gripping and control. Some have longer handles like typical makeup brushes but the telltale dense dome head indentifies them as Kabuki brushes. For women who travel a lot, Kabuki brushes can be purchased with dispenser handles to hold your mineral makeup.

Kabuki makeup brushes are easy to clean as well. If you use your mineral makeup on a regular basis, brushes need to be cleaned once a week at least. Because of the natural hair, a small drop of your shampoo massaged into the bristles will clean the brush. Rinse thoroughly by swishing it in clean water and then squeeze as much water from the brush as you can. Fluff out the bristles and let it dry on a clean surface.

Kabuki makeup brushes offer complete sheer coverage for mineral makeup users. Their dome shape and dense bristles make a little powder go a long way.

Why Is There Mineral Oil In Moisturizers?

Friday 20 March 2009 @ 8:48 pm

You probably use a moisturizer right now. Is there mineral oil in it? Is mineral oil in moisturizers good, or is it bad?

Mineral oil is derived from crude oil, in other words it’s a petrochemical product. It is a by product of the process of producing petroleum products. It is used in many skin care products and anti aging products, cosmetics and much more. Mainly because it is extremely cheap. You may also know it as white oil.

It may surprise you to know that many ingredients in big brand skin care products are also derived from oil.

The Cosmetic Safety Database finds that there are 454 different moisturizers that contain mineral oil, and there are of course many other cosmetics and skin care products as well, so there is an extremely high chance that there is a moisturizer or other product that you use now that has mineral oil in it.

And anyone with a baby will know mineral oil as baby oil because baby oil is 100% mineral oil, just with a fragrance added as mineral oil doesn’t smell that sweet.

According to the Cosmetics Safety Database mineral oil is linked to cancer, allergies and immunotoxicity, is linked to toxicity in other biological systems in the body and irritation of the skin, eyes or lungs, though of course all these are debatable and not conclusively proven.

Mineral oil has also been linked to a number of skin problems, including acne. The problem with mineral oil in moisturizers and other skin care products and cosmetics is that it clogs the pores of the skin. This is why it can lead to acne, and also means that the skin is more limited in its natural ability to purge toxins.

And there are some who have also linked the use of mineral oil on the skin with premature aging.

The dangers of mineral oil in cosmetics and skin care products are, however, subject to debate like all these things, and the cosmetics industry and big skin care companies maintain that it is perfectly safe and works well.

So you’ve looked and found mineral oil in one of your moisturizers and you’re worried about it and don’t know what to do? Well if you’re happy with the moisturizer and haven’t found any ill effects then that’s good, though not conclusive. And remember too that there are some highly expensive and very poor skin care products that do very little, so if you’re happy with your products you’re in front.

I suspect that many women continue using their skin care products even though they do very little because they have come to expect very little and so arent being disappointed. And if you’re paying a lot I personally believe that you ought to be seeing good results that both you and others notice.

Or you could try high quality natural skin care products that dont contain mineral oil, and see how they work for you.

There is one small niche skincare products manufacturer who makes the best natural skin care products and they make products with no mineral oil. And they offer a full money back guarantee on their products so you really can try the products with no risk to you at all.

So if you aren’t convinced about how well they are working for you then you can return them for a refund. Very few return them, if they did there wouldn’t be any guarantee.

But I have to say that if you’re seriously worried about mineral oil in moisturizers and cosmetics and skin care products the jury is out. There is no conclusive evidence either way, though there are many who won’t use products containing mineral oil. And many who believe that as well as being unsafe it also doesn’t work very well.

Acne Product Review - Exposed Acne vs. Proactiv

Friday 20 March 2009 @ 6:40 pm

There are many acne treatment products you can find exclusively on the internet. This review will focus on two popular acne products that are sold on the internet, Proactiv solution and Exposed acne solution. Which product provides you with better value and more importantly, better looking skin?

When comparing two products we want to look at a products value. Is it worth the price you pay for it and are you getting what you pay for. Both products in this review are priced around $60 for the largest starter treatment kit. Exposed’s larger kit comes with 6 products and Proactiv comes with 5. If you looked at the system based on all that you get for the money it would seem like Exposed gives you a little more. But, is this acne system worth $60.00?

Do Proactiv and Exposed treat acne the same way? They both use their own unique formulation for treating acne and preventing new acne, but can you find the same thing much less expensive in the drug store? Well, both offer a cleanser, toner and oil free moisturizer in addition to a few other products that get thrown in to help keep acne under control. So, ultimately the routine for treating your skin is the same.

Although, both Proactiv and Exposed offer similar skin care routines, you must really evaluate the quality of ingredients to determine if an acne product will meet your skin care needs. The active ingredient in ProActiv Solution is benzoyl peroxide. Benzoyl peroxide is used in 2 of their 3 main products and is not suitable for all skin types as it can leave the skin dry, irritated and flaky. Exposed skin care products contain a balance of salicylic acid, natural botanicals and antioxidants to help nourish the skin and eliminate acne at the same time.

If you are someone that has sensitive skin Proactiv may not be the choice for you as it might worsen acne instead of making it better. Exposed does contain a type of benzoyl peroxide in the a.m. serum that is formulated to penetrate deep in the skin and not dry it out. Exposed acne treatment is designed to allow the skin to return to it’s natural pH level. In doing so, you not only get rid of acne, but your skin is much more healthy.

Proactiv, on the other hand, requires you to use benzoyl peroxide on your skin 2 steps out of 3. Furthermore, there is no other product in the Proactiv line of products that allows you to treat acne internally. Exposed acne care offers an internal supplement that isn’t included in their main kit, but you can be purchased separately that will attack acne from the inside out.

Finally, you should always check out what type of a guarantee a company will give you when trying a new product. Because everyone’s acne is different, not all the products you will try will work for you. Proactive gives you 60 days to try the product out or your money back. This might sound good, but it typically takes that long or longer to determine if a product is working or not. On the other hand, Exposed offers a full 1 year money back guarantee which gives you plenty of time to see if the product is really working or not. There are also other incentives Exposed offers such as free bonus gifts, credits on your next purchase etc.

These are just a few comparisons between Exposed acne treatment and Proactiv Solution. Both of them are equally popular, but in the end both are not the same. Exposed contains a stronger guarantee, better quality of ingredients for the same price as Proactiv and can be used by most skin types. It is always your choice in the end when choosing which product is best for your type of skin and your specific form of acne.

Acne Free In 3 days

The Acne Free In 3 days Ebook

dark-red-arrow-06_R Basically, Chris Gibson's Acne Free in 3 Days suggest that you go on a special detox-cure for 3 days. While at this cure you apply certain topical products to help you to get rid of the toxins in your body faster.

dark-red-arrow-06_R One thing i liked about acne Free in 3 Days is that it's quite short and the information is laid out in a clear manner. So you don't need to waste time on reading and learning too much. Instead you can focus on applying. And application is where the clear skin is.

dark-red-arrow-06_R However the downside of short is that it can't go very deep. Even though the method works I would have liked to see some more depth. People who are new to this might not believe that Chris's method actually works. Naturally the best way to find out is to try it yourself.

Acne No More

The acne no more ebook

dark-red-arrow-06_R The Acne No More System Formula is quite a easy to follow formula but it takes a bit of hard work and self control. When using this particular formula you have to sacrifice particular kinds of food, go on detox diet for a certain number days and stuff like that.

dark-red-arrow-06_R The introduction, Mike's shows has research and knowledge of acne as he provides information that blows run-of-the-mill acne explanations of acne out of the water. You get the root causes of acne instead of the obvious symptoms. What makes it even better is the fact that it's done in a way that you will easily understand and be able to use in making acne-sensitive decisions.

dark-red-arrow-06_R The main thing I learnt from the Acne No More system is that Acne is merely a signal for a much deeper imbalance inside the body. I can’t say what kind of imbalance but all I can say is that this imbalance is what causes you to get sick and make you suffer from certain problems so many times.
